Dr. Mamta Patel Nagaraja is currently the founder and CEO of Vyoma Science & Engineering, serving as a sought-after independent expert for organisations across the space community. Previously, her distinguished two decade tenure at NASA forged a legacy of impactful public service. Most recently, as the Associate Chief Scientist for Exploration and Applied Research, she provided pivotal human spaceflight and science counsel directly to NASA's Chief Scientist.

Notably, Mamta spearheaded NASA's comprehensive science communications portfolio, demonstrating a remarkable ability to translate intricate scientific concepts for diverse audiences. Her deep technical acumen also propelled her work at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, where she operated the mass spectrometer for the LADEE lunar mission and spearheaded the mechanical engineering design for a scientific instrument on a proposed Venus endeavor.

As the Deputy Program Scientist for Space Biology at NASA, she was instrumental in shaping the trajectory of research in this critical field. Mamta's journey at NASA commenced in 2001 at Johnson Space Center and throughout her ascending career at the Agency, she played a vital role in astronaut training for both the Space Shuttle and the International Space Station, alongside her responsibilities as a certified flight controller. Her diverse academic background encompasses degrees in aerospace, mechanical, and biomedical engineering.
